Mobilization and organizing

When speaking about social media from the perspective of civil society, mobilization and organizing through the use of new media are terms mostly used in the world in the last years. Organization of nonviolent movements, coordination and mobilization for protests and direct actions, advocacy and pressuring government, protests against oppressive governments, Arab spring are all terms we have heard many times. The potential that social networks, internet and new technologies  have in this sense are vast, so this has become one of the most important subjects in the context of the development of civil society. POINT conference will offer presentations and panels on the subjects of using technology by nonviolent movements, movements in Egypt in 2011 and the use of social media in the activities, implementation of advocacy and organizing community projects with the use of interactive mapping and using different applications in the actions of mobilizing and organizing.
