Enes Hodžić, a bachelor of communication studies from the University of Sarajevo, is an investigative journalist of Balkan Investigative Reporting Network in Bosnia and Herzegovina (BIRN BiH).
He joined this team in May 2022 as a investigative journalist and court observer. Before joining the BIRN team, he worked in editorial and journalistic positions in various local and state media outlets, such as Visoko.co.ba, Radio Sarajevo and FTV, and as an expert associate in the Government of Zenica-Doboj Canton, during his twelve-year career.
His focus is on investigating different narratives and operations from the field of right-wing extremism, foreign malign influence, cybersecurity and war crimes. He has also participated in several activities related to cybersecurity, and is an author of two very first Cyber Security Threat Reports in BiH. As an author, he is uncovering foreign malignant influence in BiH, disinformation and false narratives, but also thruth about cyber incidents and attacks.
During his previous work experience, he worked on various projects aimed at encouraging engaged citizen reporting, as well as promoting journalism as the profession. In addition to these projects, he is also the implementer of several sports and cultural projects aimed at the inclusion of the wider community in the promotion of positive values.
For his work so far, he was awarded a plaque for continuous reporting and contribution to testifying to the truth about the genocide in Srebrenica, at the “Nino Ćatić” journalism award in 2020. and and is one of the winners of the “Superscrieri” award in Romania for his research on Russian paramilitary camps for Moldovan citizens in BiH.
