Another interesting topic we will speak about at this year’s POINT 5.0 is The Arab World four years after the Arab Spring- Experiences and perspectives.
Nobody knows better what information war and digital war actually means, than those living in oppressed societies filled with government censorship. This situation also gives special meaning to the moment when these information are finally being spread to masses. Where do these societies stand four years after?
Speakers at this session are Walid Al-Saqaf, researcher at Stockholm University (Yemen/Sweden) Amr Sobhy an information activist and entrepreneur (Great Britain/Egypt) Kevin Coyne from Wasabi (Tunisia) Mohamed Elmejrab from H20 (Libya) and this panel will be moderated by Ahmed Farag.
Session is a part of POINT 5.0 Day 1 and it will be held in Art Cinema Kriterion starting at 16:30.
