Day of online freedom of expression: POINT W Day

As a part of this year’s POINT 5.0 conference, on the 25th of May, 2016, Musical pavilion in the Park of Petar Kocic bb, (Banja Luka) will host ‘Day of advocacy for online freedom of expression’ – POINT W Day.

This POINT W Day will gather experts from the field of freedom of espression, representatives of different institutions, activists and NGOs from all over BiH to dicuss Law of Public order and Protest in BiH and challenges regarding rights on freedom of expression and digital security.

Guests of this panel will be international and domestic experts such as Jillian York, Ian Schuller and Amela Methadzovic.

As a part of the panel two campaigns of digital advocacy will be presented as a part of Internews’ Project W, that fights with different restriction imposed on freedom of expression in BiH.

Day W, which is organized by Internews and C.A. Why Not, is a part of POINT 5.0 conference that will be held in Sarajevo from 26th till 28th of May, 2016.

POINT Conference (Political accountability and new technologies) is a regional conference of 7 civil society organizations from SEE region that work intensively on the usage of new technologies in their work, and will include individual participants from other countries that work on specific topics that are in the focus of this conference. POINT 5.0 represent 5th edition of a conference that was held in February 2012, and in May of 2013, 2014 and 2015.
