Alen Musaefendić

Alen Musaefendić is the Head of the Western Balkans Task Force within the Strategic Communication division of the European External Action Service (EEAS) in Brussels. His role involves addressing numerous complex issues related to the implementation of EU enlargement policy and the Stabilisation and Association Process. A key aspect of his work is combating Foreign Information Manipulation and Interference (FIMI), including disinformation.

In addition to his role at the EEAS, he is associated with the Swedish Psychological Defence Agency. Alen has a diverse professional background, having worked as an economist, journalist, and policy expert. He holds two Master’s degrees: one in International Economics from the Stockholm School of Economics and another in International Management from the Community of European Management Schools (CEMS).
