A multi-disciplinary innovator and award winning Egyptian data/information activist and entrepreneur. Sobhy founded a number of projects in the intersection between politics and technology including: MorsiMeter; a digital online platform to document and monitor the performance of Egyptian President and Mwazna, an internet platform to help opening and visualising the Egyptian government budget which was shortlisted for the Data Journalism Award for Open Data 2016. Sobhy formerly helped to shape youth policy at the Arab League and ran ICT projects for Internews Europe. Sobhy Holds a masters degree in Public Policy from Birkbeck, University of London.
