Igor Merheim – Eyre

Igor is a Programme Officer in the Brussels office of the International Republican Institute where he works as part of the Beacon Project.

His activities focus on instigating stronger and broader transatlantic dialogue with political leaders and civil society organizations on identifying and closing the gaps in democratic governance and societal vulnerabilities exploited by domestic and foreign disinformation campaigns. Igor is largely responsible for the Project’s political outreach, and provides academic advice on its research activities.

Igor is a member of the International Coalition for Democratic Renewal, and a Research Fellow at the Global Europe Centre (University of Kent), and publishes regularly on issues of wider European security.
