Imer Muhović
SINGEK
Spain
Geneticist by training, data scientist by choice, Imer is an early stage researcher at the Institute of Marine Sciences in Barcelona, where he has been working for the past two years, in bioinformatics as part of the SINGEK ITN (http://www.singek.eu/), which is an innovative training network under the Horizon2020 program aimed at improving the existing techniques in single cell genomics. When not making web apps to map microbial abundance in global oceans he is analyzing Bosnian electoral data and posting it on his blog (https://imuhovic.com/posts/).
He loves R, python and wrangling datasets, especially ones related to Bosnia, in an attempt to make the advantages of Open Data more clear to the local public, and hopefully to local governments.
