Iryna Shvets, the director at OPORA Lviv, and a Board Member at OPORA Civil Network. Civic activist and a project manager with more than a ten-year experience. Since OPORA is mostly known as a watch-dog network for Ukraine’s election process, Iryna as a team member is responsible for planning and conduct of election observation and monitoring campaigns, especially designing blended-learning educational and communication strategies.

Apart from the observation missions, Iryna is involved in watchdog activities aiming to improve the level of transparency, openness and accountability of government bodies. Thus, she is working in the sphere of Parliamentary monitoring and measuring the publicity of local self-government taking into account their responsiveness to people’s needs and interests, willingness to share information and functioning in an open and transparent manner.

Because of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, Iryna is currently located in Warsaw where she helps setting up a public center for documenting the war crimes.
