Iva Zelić

Iva Zelić is the Coordinator of the “Gender, Equality and the Media” programme at CESI – Center for Education, Counselling and Research, a feminist non-governmental organization based in Croatia. She also serves as the Editor-in-Chief of Libela.org, a feminist, non-profit media outlet.

Established in 2009, Libela.org provides analytical coverage of issues related to gender equality, social justice, and social inclusion, with a strong focus on feminist and gender-based perspectives. In 2024, the portal launched GenderFacts, a fact-checking section aimed at verifying public claims and information related to gender equality. The initiative seeks to counter gender-based disinformation and discrimination, and to foster societal resilience to such narratives.

A journalist by profession, Iva has over a decade of experience in project management and non-formal education. As an educator, her work is centered on disinformation narratives, particularly those targeting minority groups, and on advancing media literacy among young people.
