AI critique for non-programmers
May 8, 2019 | by: Dalio Sijah
With the proliferation of algorithmic governance it is becoming increasingly important for activists and NGOs to become part of the conversation. We are often discredited as unqualified to participate – not just by other stakeholders, but even by ourselves.
Even though the world of machine learning and AI hides behind technical jargon, underlying technologies and their (predictable) effects are often quite simple. You don’t need to be a programmer to think critically about the use of contemporary AI, just like you don’t have to be an environmental scientist in order to fight for climate-friendly policies. Come and equip yourself with the necessary prerequisites to navigate AI literature, news, and politics.
