FOIA portals in the Balkans

One of the online tools developed by CA “Why not” is a portal for assisting requests for free access of information. This portal is part of an international project based on a very successful British web portal www.whatdotheyknow.com, after which this project resulted in international versions in several other states, including BiH and Kosovo.

The portal offers assistance to citizens for submitting requests for the free access to information, following up the requests, and offering a depository with all earlier successful and unsuccessful requests and a searchable database of institutions to which requests can be submitted.

The presentation of thee portals in BiH and Kosovo will be held by Boris Brkan (CA “Why not?”), Valon Brestovci (FLOSSK) and David Cabo (Pro Bono Publico).
