POINT conference call for fellows

February 18, 2021 | by: Dalio Sijah

Are you interested in technology, politics, and civil society? Do you engage with topics such as disinformation, elections, fact-checking, promise tracking, and institution monitoring? Are you passionate about transparency, accountability, integrity, civic participation, and truth? If the answer is yes, consider becoming a POINT Conference Fellow!

POINT Conference is one of the largest regional civil society conferences in Southeastern Europe. For the past nine years, we have hosted annual events in Sarajevo that engage hundreds of participants from across the globe on issues related to technology, politics, media, and civil society.

This year, while waiting for the next live conference, we will be hosting a series of online events and activities that would keep the POINT momentum going in our community.

We are seeking individuals from the SEE region with interest and experience in the topics covered by POINT to become part of the first-ever cohort of POINT fellows. As a fellow, you would be expected to take part in online events on the POINT Talks platform, as well as in the regular meetings and training with experts from CA “Zašto ne” (“Why not”) and other partner organizations. Additionally, you would have the opportunity to attend all of the events offered during the POINT Conference. Also, you will gain in-depth experience with the “behind the scenes” aspects of the conference-related activities and organization.

On top of that, POINT fellows will receive a stipend for their travel, meals, and accommodation expenses during the next POINT 9.0 conference in Sarajevo. CA “Zašto ne” and our partners will welcome our fellows with a special reception, and ensure that they’re publicly recognized for their participation and contribution on our website.

If you are interested in this opportunity and have a residence in the SEE region, please send us a short CV and a motivation letter featuring your interests and experience on the e-mail address [email protected]

This call is open until Friday, February 26th 2021.
