Tai Nalon

As a co-founder and the executive director of Aos Fatos, a renowned organization in Brazil at the forefront of tech-driven journalism against misinformation, Tai Nalon has solidified her reputation as a top innovator in the field. She’s been investigating disinformation campaigns and fact-checking politicians statements in Brazil for over a decade, while developing tech tools to tackle misinformation at scale.

Due to her work, Nalon has earned the 2020 Gabriel García Márquez award and the 2023 and 2024 Digital Media Americas awards, among other prizes. Nalon holds a degree in Social Communication with a specialization in Journalism from the State University of Rio de Janeiro and previously held positions at prominent newsrooms across Brazil.
