Christian Römer studied Applied Theatre Studies at New York University. After working at the Bavarian State Theatre and with Fritz Rau & MAMA Concerts he designed at the EXPO 2000 cultural programs of the federal states. On behalf of the FGYO (French – German Youth Organization) he was responsible for the program for German-French Artist education Program.

From 2007 to 2011 he worked as managing director in the Board of the Neukölln Opera Berlin.

Since 2011 he has been responsible at the Heinrich Böll Foundation in the areas of culture and new media and developed, amongst others, the digital activist conference format, “Mobilize!” and the Workshop Conference “Theatre & Internet”.
