Igor Blaževic is a prominent Bosnian-born human rights advocate and democracy educator with decades of experience in authoritarian and conflict-affected regions. He played a key role at People in Need (PIN), where he led human rights initiatives in Eastern Europe, Cuba, and Burma. He is also the founder of One World, Europe’s largest human rights film festival.

From 2011 to 2016, he spearheaded educational programs in Thailand and Myanmar, designing and teaching courses on successful and failed democratic transitions. Currently, Igor works with the Prague Civil Society Centre, focusing on programs that support civil society in Eastern Europe, the Caucasus, and Central Asia.

In addition, he continues to lead online courses for democracy activists in Myanmar, covering topics such as Organizing Communities and Managing Diversity. He is also launching a new initiative at the Prague Civil Society Centre: the Re-inventing Civil Society Reading & Brainstorming Club.
