Šejla Mujačić is an experienced development cooperation professional with over 16 years of expertise in the Western Balkans, focusing on civil society engagement, EU integration, gender, media, and education reform. She currently works as a Project Manager at GIZ, within the regional SustainMedia project, supporting the resilience and sustainability of independent media organizations across the region. She advises and supports media organizations in business development, the introduction of innovative content formats, and the promotion of collaborative approaches.
With a background in education, Šejla has built her career around advancing quality education and strengthening democratic processes. A key focus of her work has been supporting civil society organizations within the context of the EU integration process and the Berlin Process initiative. Šejla is a dedicated advocate for gender equality and intersectionality, actively integrating these principles into policy, programming, and implementation.
She has extensive experience in facilitating regional collaboration among CSOs, governments, and international stakeholders.
