Irfan Čengić

In the 2018  he was elected a member of the House of Representatives of the Parliament of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina from constituency 411.

He served as Secretary General of the Social Democratic Party of BiH from December 2014 to July 2019. Prior to his election to this position, he held the position of President of the SDP BiH Youth Forum Stari Grad Sarajevo. Prior to his election to the Parliament of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, he was a councilor in the Municipal Council of Stari Grad Sarajevo, where he served as Vice-Chairman of the Municipal Council of Stari Grad Sarajevo from 2016 to 2018, while in 2012-2016 he served as Chief club of SDP councilors.

In the term of office 2008-2012 he held the position of President of the Commission for Youth Affairs of the Municipal Council of Stari Grad Sarajevo, and from 2012 to 2016 he was a member of the Commission for the Statute and Regulations of the Municipal Council of Stari Grad Sarajevo.
In October 2012, in the local elections, he was elected the youngest councilor in Bosnia and Herzegovina to the Municipal Council of Stari Grad Sarajevo. He has also been active in the NGO sector and student organizations, and is the author of several papers on political and social activism, and is a lawyer by profession.
