Miodrag Milosavljević

Miodrag serves as the Deputy Director for Western Balkans at Open Society Foundations, based in Belgrade, Serbia. Working closely with the Director for Western Balkans, Miodrag oversees the cross-regional programmatic work of the Foundations and coordinates a diverse regional team. His work is driven by a strong commitment to the Europeanisation of the Western Balkans, with a particular focus on democratic institutions, just green transition, digital rights, and anti-corruption efforts.

Miodrag has extensive experience addressing issues related to democratic reforms, enhancing citizen participation, and improving the oversight of public institutions. His contributions have been instrumental in shaping policies that promote democratic governance and institutional integrity across the region. Previously, Miodrag worked with the Center for Free Elections and Democracy on political party finance, local governance, and election monitoring programs.

Miodrag graduated from the Faculty of Political Science (International Relations Department) of the University of Belgrade and specialized at the Diplomatic Academy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Serbia and Montenegro.
