Registration is now open for the POINT 14 Conference, the leading regional event dedicated to political accountability, technology, media, and civic activism. 

This year, the conference will be held on June 10th – 13th, at Sarajevo’s Youth Centre (Dom mladih).

POINT (Political Accountability and New Technologies) is the leading regional conference dedicated to the intersection of politics, technology, media and civic activism, bringing together civil society organizations, journalists, technologists, policymakers and researchers from the Western Balkans, Europe and beyond.

Celebrating 25 Years of CA “Why not”

This year, as we host the 14th edition of the POINT Conference, we’re proud to celebrate 25 years of CA “Why not”, the organization behind the event. Over the past two and a half decades, the organization has been working to promote transparency, accountability, fact-checking, and civic participation in Bosnia and Herzegovina and the wider region.

POINT 14 will be an opportunity not only to discuss current challenges, but also to reflect on the past and the lessons learned from years of civic activism and democratic innovation.

Topics of the POINT 14 Conference

Over the years, POINT has become a unique platform for discussing some of the most pressing issues affecting democracy and the information space. The POINT 14 Conference in Sarajevo will address some of the most important issues shaping the information space and democratic processes today.

Some of the key topics we will explore at POINT 14 include:

  • Artificial intelligence and accountability in the digital age
  • Election integrity and the role of different actors in sensitive electoral processes
  • Online scams, fraud, and digital security
  • Resilience to malign foreign influences 
  • Human rights in the digital environment

How to Register for POINT 14

To participate in the POINT 14 Conference in Sarajevo, please complete the online registration form by April 30, 2026.

Early registration is recommended, as the number of available places is limited.

  • If you need a visa to enter Bosnia and Herzegovina, we will help you obtain it.
  • The working language of the conference is English.
  • The POINT Conference (Political Accountability and New Technologies) is the largest conference of this type in the Southeastern Europe (SEE) region. It seeks to be a platform for civil society that encourages the use of new technologies. 

Notice for participants from Kosovo

Please note that we will provide support in the visa application process for participants coming from Kosovo. Due to additional time needed for visa procedures, the application deadline for participants from Kosovo is April 15, 2026.
