Hanna Solti is a Hungarian journalist currently working for the investigative media outlet Átlátszó. She previously reported for 444.hu, one of Hungary’s leading independent news sites, and has also contributed to fact-checking and investigative journalism projects in collaboration with international organizations such as Bellingcat, BIRN and Al Jazeera’s Investigative Unit.
Her reporting focuses on public accountability, corruption, elections, social policy and human rights, including recent allegations of vote-buying and election-related food distribution schemes and reports on abuse allegations affecting vulnerable children in educational institutions. These stories have contributed to public debate on transparency and democratic accountability in Hungary.
She represents a younger generation of Hungarian investigative journalists working within independent media organizations. Her reporting is characterized by a strong emphasis on verifiable evidence, public-interest issues and scrutiny of government and institutional practices. Through both national and cross-border investigative projects, she has helped bring attention to issues that might otherwise receive limited public scrutiny.
