Hayk Asriyants is a social entrepreneur and a community leader. In April 2018, Hayk transformed his digital media platform Tbilisi Startups (est. 2012), and on its basis founded Startup Büro (formerly Tbilisi Startup Bureau) which is now the key supporter of Georgia’s emerging entrepreneurship ecosystem. Startup Büro designs and implements various startup support programs — from hackathons to acceleration programs.

Previously, Hayk has successfully built two other media platforms, and has pioneered in mobile internet media when it was in its very early stages. In 2022, Hayk was awarded a 3-month fellowship at Prague Civil Society Centre where he researched sustainable business models for nonprofits and media organizations.

In June 2022, in recognition of exceptional contributions and leadership in the field of ICT, Hayk received Special Mention in the Supporter category of Grace Hopper Award Program which recognizes local girls and women in the information and communication technology industry and puts a spotlight on those organizations and initiatives that are making strides towards promoting women’s increased participation in the ICT sector. He regularly implements projects focused on women entrepreneurs with UN Women, UNDP, and USAID. In April 2024, Hayk won the European Union’s Eastern Partnership Civic Tech Award for developing an AI-powered tool for investigative journalists.
