Vladana Vasić

Vladana Vasić is the Advocacy Manager at Sarajevo Open Centre. She focuses on issues related to the violations and protection of human rights of LGBTI persons and women in Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH).

She also advocates for gender equality, the improvement of domestic legislation and policies, as well as institutional mechanisms in line with regional and international standards of human rights. Vladana is a member of the European Commission on Sexual Orientation Law and she graduated from the Faculty of Law of the University of Sarajevo, where she is currently attending Master Studies.

Vladana is the author of amendments to the BiH Law on the prohibition against discrimination, Criminal Codes of both BiH entities, the Asylum Law of BiH, and many other laws and policies in BiH. She used to lead Sarajevo Open Centre’s legal counselling service for LGBTI people.
