MILENA MINJA BOGAVAC (Belgrade, 1982) is a playwright, dramaturge, theater director, screenwriter, poet, activist and cultural worker. Creative director of the Center E8 and director of the Reflector Theater, an independent theater that operates within this organization. She graduated in Dramaturgy at the Faculty of Dramatic Arts in Belgrade.

Her plays have been translated into numerous languages, included in anthologies of contemporary drama, performed in numerous Serbian and international theaters, and presented at relevant festivals.

She is the winner of the Sterija Award (2018. for the play “Jami District”); as well as the awards: “Borislav Mihajlović-Mihiz” – for dramatic creation; “Josip Kulundzic” for “outstanding achievements in the field of theater”; “Andjelka Milić Awards” for a work of art that uses feminist theories; “ProFemina” Award for Public Advocacy in Women’s Rights; “The Good Example of New Optimism” Award for Human Rights and Encouraging Youth Activism… and several others, for individual texts or performances at festivals, in the country and abroad.

Regardless of her permanent engagement in Center E8 and Reflector theatre, she writes, directs and working as dramaturg, within various institutions or companies from the independent art scene in Serbia and region.
