Anida Sokol is a National Program Officer for Freedom of Media at the OSCE Mission to Bosnia and Herzegovina. She works on the portfolio of media freedoms, conducts monitoring of legislation and incidents against journalists, co-operates with institutions to strengthen capacities and policies for the protection of the media, and delivers workshops on media freedoms and the safety of journalists to the police and other stakeholders.
Prior to joining the OSCE, she worked as a researcher, editor, and educator at Mediacentar Sarajevo, and served as a lecturer at the Sarajevo School of Science and Technology and International Burch University, teaching courses on Media and Politics and Political Communication.
She obtained her PhD from the Faculty of Political Sciences at Sapienza University of Rome and is a researcher and author of many publications in the field of media policy and media regulation.
