Jeremy Druker
Transitions
Jeremy Druker is the co-founder and executive director of Transitions (transitionsmedia.org), one of Europe’s leading media development organizations, which has trained over 5,000 journalists, students, and citizens from across the continent through various journalism and media literacy programs. He is also the editor in chief of its online magazine (tol.org), which focuses on solutions journalism and other topics in Central and Eastern Europe.
Jeremy is an Ashoka Fellow and a professor at the Prague campuses of New York University and CIEE, where he teaches a course on social media’s impact on society. He is a former chair of the board of the Fulbright Commission in the Czech Republic, and was a 2023 Sulzberger Fellow at Columbia Journalism School.
Jeremy holds a bachelor’s degree from Harvard and a master’s in international affairs from Columbia. A proud native of Brooklyn, New York, he lives with his family in Prague, which he has called home for more than 25 years.
